Understand how to transmute your emotions. Many news stories and media sources are trying to keep your attention 24/7 with shock value and fear around the clock. These tactics work extremely well and are the reason why they have viewers that get emotionally invested in what they see on screens. Discern the information that’s presented to you and discard whatever distracts you from your mission. You can help a lot more people down the line by helping yourself first and getting into a position where you can inspire others through your actions.

Theory is great but without the proper application it doesn’t really mean much with regards to getting results. It’s great to know things but we have to put them into action. When we hear about people that are highly intelligent or what we may deem “geniuses”, that recognition often comes from them solving complex problems and using their minds to create innovations that were previously thought impossible. These types seem to have a “magic formula” that they stumbled upon.
The average person can’t really fathom the mental processes it took to reach those conclusions. What they fail to recognize are the past years of trial and error that created those new mental pathways and perceptions in the brain. We may not be born with genius level IQs but it’s important to note that applying the knowledge we have is even more important on the grand scheme of things. The genius that sits in the dark and does nothing with his gifts gets outcompeted by a less intelligent but driven and harder working peer.
Combining the right knowledge with the right action over time is what grants people golden ticket opportunities that propel their success exponentially. It seems like magic to onlookers who just can’t understand how they do it. In reality, they had a vision and pursued it with the right mindset. When the opportunity to win big came up, they took the risk. Knowing when to make the right move and starting early can get us to higher levels at a faster pace.
Become effective and efficient.
When we repeat an action often enough, we develop competence. That competence enables us to do basic tasks on autopilot while having the mental capacity to innovate and create new pathways in our minds. Once we have the foundations down, we can put our own spin on things and develop our own voice. This also works in regards to getting good at different skills and combining them together to form a greater overall perspective. Don’t spread yourself too thin. Don’t become a one trick pony. Find the balance and become great at a few things that will improve your life overall.
Repetition and refinement are keys that will help you progress much faster. When we do something often it becomes second nature. We’re able to do it quicker and better. When we refine these skills even further and develop our own systems, our inputs start to yield greater outputs in the same timeframe. Neural pathways that were once unpaved begin to get traveled through and constructed much more often. Our perspectives expand and dots start connecting. The final destination becomes visible over the horizon.
Use your focus and energy to become more effective at what you choose to pursue. By being reliable and accountable, you develop a trustworthy leadership position by default and people look to you for guidance.
