The power of addition and subtraction.
We live in very fast paced times where options seem abundant and variety continues to increase on a daily basis. It’s easy to get lost in the noise or to believe that everything is set in stone. We develop patterns and habits over the years that are ingrained by our upbringing, environment and personal preferences among other factors. After enough time has passed, we can get caught up in the same endless cycles that become dull and uninspiring. Instead of actively pursuing a mission that drives us to become better, life can turn monotonous and stagnant due to repeated choices made to fulfill false desires.
Taking a moment to analyze where time and energy are going on a daily basis can answer questions with regards to what areas of life need to be addressed in order to move forward in the right direction. It becomes increasingly evident that there are some things we should cut out or limit and others that we should incorporate or increase. Everyone will have a different formula depending on their own specific situation but the main thing is to get a sense of what an ideal day looks like overall and to start steering the ship in that direction with the current level of knowledge and tools at your disposal. Come up with an initial blueprint that covers the basics of what you want to accomplish and then test it in real time by getting feedback from reality.
Getting on the right track can be as simple as focusing on the execution of daily targets and then refining the systems that are in place as more insights are unlocked. Trying to schedule every single minute of your day will ultimately result in life interfering at some point even if you’re extremely meticulous and punctual. On the opposite end, having no vision or objectives can leave things scattered and stagnant. Combine both sides of the spectrum by having something to aim for while being able to adapt in the moment and push through obstacles.
Physical, mental and spiritual intertwined.
These three dimensions come together to give an overall picture of our experience of life. We’re able to sense a combination of actions, thoughts and beliefs that shape our reality in real time. When they’re aligned, life becomes more focused and synchronized. Each can be targeted specifically while playing off of one another as more inputs are continuously added over time. Start cleaning up your diet, working out and spending more time in nature and suddenly you’re sharper and in a better mood. With the increased energy and clarity, suddenly you’re more inclined to take action and seek out new opportunities. Now that the wheels are spinning, momentum starts to build and results start to roll in which increases perceptions of possibility and strengthens beliefs. These forces are all at play simultaneously in each moment and can be used to enhance life overall.
Half the battle these days is being able to focus time and energy on the few key areas that actually matter. Combine this with the grand scale of pressure and influence within the relative environments we find ourselves in while taking into account perceptions, capabilities and desires. Each of these dimensions has an infinite number of subjects within themselves so it helps to understand where we might be doing well and where we might be struggling. Everyone is at a different level in each relevant category that can shift on a momentary basis as our actions, thoughts and beliefs interface with reality in real time.
Everyone has their own combinations. Some stronger, some smarter, some more righteous while others might be average across the board. Each moment presenting another opportunity to improve or decline overall. Believe, think and act on the fly while accumulating a wider breadth of wisdom and experience. Lessons are great for learning but life can’t be lived in hindsight. It’s good to understand the bigger picture but the path has to be walked regardless to reach the desired destination. Figure out what needs to be done now and get things in motion. Execute daily and let the chips fall where they may.
The questions begin to answer themselves.
Fortunes have been won and lost throughout history because of chaotic conditions, random encounters and unexpected events. Many opportunities found in the detours that are ripe for the taking by paying attention to the signs and signals along the way. Instead of getting paralyzed by fear of the unknown or worrying about the specifics, take those first few steps forward and uncover more wisdom as you walk along the path. Even if we manage to reach the pinnacle of what we perceive as an ideal life, we still have to get up each day and live it. Time goes on regardless of how high we’ve climbed or how low we’ve fallen.
Avoid getting caught up with uncertainty. Start taking action with the resources and tools that are currently available and clarify the blueprint by building the right foundations. Seek constant feedback from reality to speed up the process. Gain momentum. Increase volume and quality. Create systems that will take you to the next level. Use the time and energy that’s been given to pursue excellence and the frequency will bleed into all facets of life. Grab opportunity. Hit the right levers. Avoid the major traps. Harness energy to expend on the mission.
Understand the current pattern of actions, thoughts and beliefs while keeping in mind the results they’re getting compared to the outcomes that are truly desired. Plant seeds. Improve skills. Upgrade tools. Take risks. Find your edge. Go all in. Listen and act when the moment presents itself to steer the ship in the right direction. Life is constantly unfolding with signs and signals guiding the path along the way. Decisions to make in each moment that influence the way forward. Opportunity at every corner with the chance to build momentum and bring the vision to life. Quantum leaps can happen in real time. Dial in and chip away until the floodgates burst open. No better time to be alive.
Trust in God.
Take nothing for granted.
Enjoy the ride.
