Ideas are great. You need some imagination and vision to get where you want to go. You need some type of cognitive function to be able to go about your day, interact with people and move through the world at a base level. The problem is that there are just too many things to think about.
The vastness of the universe and our reality can throw us off course if we let it. Millions of things to sit there and ponder but thoughts must be put in motion to see where they can take us. From your mind to reality should be the goal. Sitting there and wondering about all the possibilities will drive you to insanity if you don’t focus on taking action and adapting to challenges.
We’re bombarded every day by intrusive thoughts, media, news, phones, computers and TVs. A tornado of information seems to cloud our minds and suddenly more time has evaporated. “Where did it even go?”. We sit there wondering as the clock keeps ticking. The way to conquer this constant attack on our focus is to find a purpose for our thoughts. Analyze each one. Is this aligned with where I want to go? If not, why am I entertaining it? Ruthlessly cut out the mindless wandering of the brain. It’s okay to relax, but being scattered all the time will have you miserable in the end. Stop going in circles and start walking the path.
As soon as you start acting on the right thoughts, results will appear. You will know what resonates with you and what needs to be cut out. You will get concrete feedback from the world. You will know what is worth your time and what is wasting it. The feedback from these outputs will show you which inputs to focus on even more for exponential success.
Your mindset will begin to improve because of the actions you’re taking. This will result in better thoughts. The best ideas might even come to you completely out of the blue while performing different actions. During a walk, a workout, talking to a loved one. Many successful individuals throughout history can confirm this. Test out what works and double down on the winners. Continuously reshape your methods to see what can be improved and what further levels can be reached. Plant a big garden now, reap what you sow later.
In a world that wants you stagnant and inactive, get moving and trust yourself. If something interests you, try it. If you’re passionate about something, just start building. Nothing will ever be perfect but it will be much closer to perfect than never starting in the first place. Once you get started on that project or that mission, once you start taking action on those “what if?” ideas, a new world will begin to open up to you. Your only regret will be not starting much sooner.
Small wins start adding up, more challenges start to arise and you will learn much more from acting and revising than you did from overthinking and procrastinating. Action shows you the reality of the situation. Sometimes you think too highly of yourself and other times not highly enough. Thoughts are a simulated projection of what could hypothetically happen. When you step into the arena, the results you get in real time will show you all that you need to know. What you did well, what you need to improve on and everything in between.
Some days won’t go as planned. Act anyway. Use your ideas and imagination as a guide to build momentum. Do not get paralyzed by thought. Adapt and learn along the way.
Bring your imagination into reality.
