Conditions will never be perfect.
We’ve all heard this countless times but it’s the truth. Wasting time on the sidelines waiting for ideal conditions is a good way to remain stagnant. It’s genuinely difficult to grasp the vastness of this world and the flow of opportunity all around. You could be feeling off. The weather might be bad. Tragedy strikes. All these obstacles can be turned around for the better. Pour that energy back into your mission. Start gaining momentum and stacking small wins. Have a realistic sense of where you are now and where you’d like to be.
The mind can be our greatest ally or our worst enemy depending on how we see things and adapt to circumstances over time. Many think themselves out of taking any action and come up with a variety of different excuses as to why something won’t work. Starting off any task with this defeatist mindset is a recipe for disaster. It goes without saying there might be some bumps in the road at first but you’ll never know how good you are at something until you start developing base level competence.
Contrast how things are now with where they could be. Chances are most people would probably want better health, more money and great relationships. Life is extremely volatile. The right risk at the right time can make or break someone’s reality. Take those first few steps along the path. Gain wisdom and experience on the way.
Create opportunity by going the extra mile.
It’s incredible what can be accomplished through a chance encounter, a lucky break or some sign from above. Those moments where everything seems to make sense and we’re in a complete flow state with our environment. Instead of sitting around and waiting for that feeling to arise or trying to recreate it artificially, go out and do what needs to be done. Some days won’t go as planned. Things will get thrown off course. How we react and deal with these situations determines whether or not we are ready for the next level.
Shying away from something due to fear of rejection will always come back to bite us much harder down the line. Our instincts and spirit are always trying to guide us in some way. Pay attention to what’s going on. Get started in the right direction and look to improve your life physically, mentally and spiritually. Go through the necessary battles and overcome the challenges that arise. Stop looking at work or duty in a negative light. You have things to get done no matter what your path is. Why not do the work that leads you to a life you love living?
Being alive in a time where so much is going on is a blessing if you’re able to step back and see the bigger picture without getting lost in the noise. Discern what matters and attack the right things. We can reach new heights by focusing on our purpose.
Build the right leverage to improve your position.
Look at the board. What moves can be made? Each person is a player with a certain position in a certain environment. We all make choices on a daily basis that either increase or decrease our standing in different areas. There are countless stories of people who were born at the bottom and made it to the top. There are countless stories of people who were born at the top and fell to the bottom. Never underestimate the possibilities out there.
Day by day we can choose to steer the ship in the right direction. Testing the waters and weathering storms as we go. When results begin to appear we ask ourselves why we didn’t start earlier. Funny how life works. Take that as a hint to go out and find what you’re passionate about and good at. Create systems that will help you obtain your ideal lifestyle. Find the right networks. Speak to people who have results in subjects that you’re interested in. Get excited to learn and enjoy the process. Step into the arena and make things happen. One right move can save years of time and energy. We’re living in an era where clicking a few buttons can exponentially multiply your initial investment. It would be crazy not to venture out and learn about how you can make the most of the tools you currently have at your disposal.
Compound the right skills with volume and timing. Refine your systems, double down on the things that are working and discard what’s getting in your way. You never know what seizing a certain moment can do for the trajectory of your life.
