Analyze the stream of consciousness.
We get bombarded daily by an assortment of different information. Our brains try to make sense of what we encounter in our environments. Our thoughts and past experiences play a large role in dictating our patterns and actions. In a world that’s so fast paced, it can be difficult to calm the mind and gain a clear picture of what has to be done.
It’s pretty remarkable how we can go from thinking of past experiences to enjoying the present moment to conceiving creative ideas for the future all in the blink of an eye. The power of the mind is beyond our wildest imagination. Every moment that goes by adds a new layer to our conscious experience. We keep moving forward in time and age. Each former experience etched somewhere in the back of the brain with varying levels of memory and significance. Some things we can recall from years back at a moment’s notice, others completely dormant in terms of recognition.
Each day that goes by grants us more opportunity to find answers to problems previously unsolved. We can understand what actually drives us by taking a deeper look at our thought flows and patterns. What actions are we unconsciously diverting to in certain situations? Are we in sync physically, mentally and spiritually? Are we actively pursuing the missions that matter to us or have we given up on those dreams entirely? Many questions can guide perspective shifts that will enable you to build a life you love living. Reflect on why you are thinking certain things and contrast the results you are getting from the corresponding actions that arise from those initial thoughts.
Understand the filters that you’re operating under.
We were all brought up a certain way in a certain place paired with our own set of characteristics which give us an overall picture of how to operate, survive and hopefully thrive in whichever environment we might find ourselves in. Too rigid, we’ll fail to take advantage of opportunity and flow with the moment. Too scattered, we’ll never get enough traction or momentum to take flight. Gain competence through repetition but look at the world like a playground. Think outside the box. Get creative. Use your imagination to make dreams come to life. The right idea, innovation or conversation can unlock doors that were previously unknown to us.
Recognizing how some of these ingrained filters might be leading your mind down the wrong path is a crucial part in learning how to think for yourself. Some habits might steal our time and energy for little to no gain, enjoyment or purpose. Others might mentally block us from shifting into another gear that can create life changing opportunities out of thin air. It’s up to us to test the waters daily and see the bigger picture. Everyone with their own path to walk.
What is really good and what is really bad? What is really possible? We’ll never know truly until we test our own limits, refining our systems and understanding of life as time goes by. Decipher as best you can what path is right for you to start walking and then do what’s necessary to get the job done. Each level completed will unlock new challenges and obstacles while ridding the mind of limiting beliefs.
Transmute energy to better serve your purpose.
Everyone is given a certain amount of time and energy over a lifetime. What we do with what’s given is ultimately up to us in the end. Free will comes at the price of responsibility and risk. New decisions to be made at each passing moment. What to do. Where to go. Who to see. Choices that lead to more choices. Sometimes better, sometimes worse depending on how we played our previous hand. Recognizing which path is right will help chance work in our favor. Dedicating time and energy to the right areas can lead us much closer toward those breakthrough opportunities most people can only dream of. Instead of taking things personal and playing the victim card, pick yourself up and use the energy from that negative state to get ahead. Power through the obstacles and win the battles.
One bad decision can cost you years or even your life. This shouldn’t make us paranoid or fearful. Instead, be grateful for every moment you have and make the most of it. Get a sense of what is bringing you down and what can bring you up. Test your theories. Add more of what works and discard what doesn’t. No point in hoarding emotion or information. Let go of what no longer serves you and use what can get you to the next level. Chances are whatever problems you’re complaining about can be solved at the other end of acquiring the right skills and putting in enough volume. Don’t waste another minute. Start putting the puzzle together immediately and find the missing pieces along the way.
At any given time, we have the choice to turn things around. Steer the ship in a different direction and listen to your spirit. Back up the vision and ideas with action and a solid word. The trials and tribulations are there to make us stronger. Keep your foot on the gas, even in the worst of times. Adapt to the changes along the way. Live by a code and never compromise your mission. Focus on the purpose and the rest falls into place.
