We can do a lot more for the world by starting with ourselves.
If we are physically unhealthy, mentally stuck and spiritually hopeless then there is very little we can actually do to improve our environments and help the people around us.
It’s important to start improving your own situation as an example to others of what’s possible with some work and dedication. Preaching about random facts and subjects that you have no tangible results in will make people resent your message and see you as a hypocrite even if the information could really benefit their lives.
A lot of frustration occurs when we have access to certain information that we know could help us but through fear or lack of will power we choose not to implement it. We sit there on our pedestals trying to convince others through our words when our actions tell an entirely different story.
Being in shape, mentally sharp, financially successful and having a purpose will give you an unspoken authority and weight to your words when you choose to speak them. Honing your skills, working hard, staying focused and true to your word will have a similar effect if you’re in the beginning stages of your journey.
Dedicating time and energy to proving your theories and refining your systems will open others up to your influence and even have them asking how you accomplished certain things.
This is where you can really start to help people. Once you know things that they’re curious about and have put the reps in to gain some results, you can properly teach them without trying to mask your own incompetence.
You can have the ultimate diet and workout plan at your disposal but if you’re not in shape, nobody will really care about what you have to say. You can have the best business ideas and the greatest sales advice of all time but if you’re broke and homeless, nobody will listen. You can be the best writer in the world but if you don’t post or publish anything, nobody will ever read your words.
It’s great to want to improve the world and help those around you. This is a very noble thing and should be apart of your purpose and grand plans. However, the best way to go about doing this is to better your own situation first so you can become a beacon of light guiding the way for others.
Begin by understanding your purpose.
-What are you meant to do with your time and energy?
-What combination of skills and knowledge will maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses?
-What kind of environment do you want to be in?
-What kind of people do you want to be around?
These are some great questions to ask that will help you determine what your mission should be. Understand that in the same day you can improve yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. Get the right work done that aligns with your goals and values. Walk the path and the right knowledge will appear to give you even better results as time goes on.
You have to be willing to take risks and overcome any perception of fear that might be holding you back.
Start firing away and sooner than later, some shots will hit the target. This will give you some data to begin refining your systems and getting to the next level.
By becoming more efficient with your time and energy, you’ll be able to start living life on your own terms.
Your systems will continue improving with the right dedication, passion and patience.
Repeating the right actions over a long enough period of time will propel you to new heights.
You may never become the best in the world at something but you can definitely become great at a few things that matter by focusing on the right levers and compounding your daily efforts over time.
Start building up your health, wealth, and faith meters so you can give back at a maximum capacity.
Subtract the things that are holding you back. You might experience some friction in the beginning from letting go of certain habits and people but it’s necessary to grow. You can’t keep selling yourself short. Time doesn’t wait for anyone. It will all make sense when you reach your destination.
Add the right tools that will push you forward. You might be overwhelmed by the amount of information out there. Just start by researching your strengths and interests and getting some basics down. Reach out to others who are studying the same skills or have solid results already and build a likeminded network. Practice skills until you develop competence. Trust your instincts. Add more weapons to your arsenal as you progress to new levels.
Wake up everyday grateful and focused on what needs to be done.
Maximize your potential by making the most of your time and energy.
Take action and complete your mission.
Become the person people can depend on by practicing what you preach.
Have a code and stick to your word.
Know yourself and understand your purpose.
Help others find theirs.
