The need for shortcuts often keeps us going in circles.

It’s important to develop some form of competence before judging how good we are at something. Too many take themselves out of the game in the beginning. Either mentally blocking out possibilities before giving them a chance to materialize or not giving it enough time and effort in the beginning to learn the foundations.

Rome definitely wasn’t build in a day and neither will our dream lives. Even if you win the lottery you still have to go out and decide what to do with the money. Many fortunes unearned have been lost just as quickly. 

Become the person who is able to handle many different situations. Gain the experience through putting in the work and enhancing your skills. Earn your seat at the table and only use the weapons that you can properly wield. 

Many have underestimated what it takes to get traction with their mission. Thinking about your purpose isn’t enough. That vision has to be put into action. Trials and tribulations have to be overcome to prove your worthiness. Do you really want to embark on this path or is it just a phase? Be willing to put the ground work in. You can’t beat the final boss with beginner level skills.

There are choices to make in each moment.

To start getting consistent results and bigger wins, we have to make sure that we’re constantly stacking the right skills on top of each other in order to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that come our way. We gain more influence over our environments by gaining momentum and gradually improving in the areas that are important to us. By starting with ourselves, our results and the lessons we’ve learned along the way can inspire others to get started on their own journeys.

At any given moment you can choose to steer the ship in a different direction. Cut out things that are weighing you down physically, mentally and spiritually. Add the right habits that can help you get in better shape, make more money and find better relationships.

All the information is out there somewhere. Many different people have gone through similar scenarios and have come out with great success stories on the other side, living lives they now love.

Find the ones that you resonate with and develop your own style by combining bits and pieces from the sources that have guided you. Never idolize anyone but pay homage and respect to those that you’ve learned from. Create your own code as you refine your systems and get a better sense of the world through your time living on this earth.

Some of the most content people out there seem to be the one’s that achieved success in their own way. They combined volume and patience with talent and passion to craft a lifestyle that has them jumping out of bed with excitement every morning. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Get started on something and make changes as challenges arise. Take it one step at a time.

Look at your daily life. See what can be added and subtracted to get you to the next level. Chances are there are things that can be tweaked. Make incremental changes as you gain more knowledge and experience through action. 

The universe is in a constant flow state. What worked yesterday might not work tomorrow. Keep up with the times and always be open to new ideas. Once you get good and consistent with something, it becomes easier to analyze what parts of it can be improved as that baseline competence has been cemented. We often see this with masters throughout history in different disciplines. Tasks that seem difficult enough on their own are merged together on autopilot through years of study and experience to create incredible breakthroughs in different fields.

Go through the motions.

Get the basics down before trying to get too creative. Understand that things take time. Build the right foundations so you can develop real influence over your life. Stay determined and driven even if things don’t go your way in the beginning. 

Many go through life by constantly taking the path of least resistance and then complaining when they don’t live the way they want to. You can’t quit everything on your first few attempts and expect to gain any traction. There have been people throughout history who got nowhere for decades then a big break came because they stuck with their vision. Chances are you won’t have to wait that long for decent results but it’s extremely difficult to go from zero to hero overnight.

Focus on your day to day actions and move up the ranks through skill and merit so your place is solidified. The luck and opportunity to leapfrog ahead will come with time. That consistent effort is always rewarded in some way, shape or form when it’s directed at the right targets.

Trust your instincts. Understand what your specific vision is. Build yourself up every day.
