Endurance is a great quality.
Having the will to keep going and getting the job done regardless of the circumstances are key components to achieving success in anything we choose to pursue.
Following through with our word is important. Talking a big game is one thing but if the actions don’t back up what is said, it’s very easy to lose respect and credibility over time. This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have high expectations for ourselves. Just make sure that you do what you say you will to the best of your abilities.
Finishing what we start and put our minds to creates a ripple effect that makes us more willing and capable to attack the next problem and reach new levels. Each time a target is hit or a goal is complete, we gain skills and experience that will help us in future battles.
Building up the endurance to last physically, mentally and spiritually in a world that is constantly changing and moving at a rapid pace is a great way for us to learn how to adapt to any challenges along the way.
The journey won’t be easy, especially if we have high aspirations and a concrete vision of how we want life to be. That freedom and abundance has to be actively worked for at every turn. Nothing can be taken for granted.
Once the gates are opened and the race begins, flow with the moment and finish as best as you can. Endure the challenge of doing what you set your mind to no matter what.
The results might not be great, especially in the beginning. First you might blow a tire and leave half way through. Then you might finish but come in last place. A bit of time goes by and now you’re at the middle of the pack. Next time around its a podium finish. Eventually you win and finally understand what showing up and enduring those hardships was all about. Continuing the process, winning more consistently and sharpening your skills will help refine your systems and zone in your focus on what really matters.
Rev the engine. Go for glory.
We often marvel at martial artists when we watch them fight for 20-30 minutes and they’re still standing after taking a high volume of punches and kicks over the course of many rounds.
They seem to have some power that enables them to endure, as well as dish out, physical punishment while battling with high levels of energy. What we often don’t see in that half hour is the years, months and days spent enduring pain in training to get to these moments where their skills and experience are second nature.
This mindset can be applied to any area of life. Enduring those difficult moments when we are trying to hone our skills or are faced with unexpected challenges is what sets the foundation for future success.
Life will always dish out it’s fair share of tragedy along the way. We will all have our moments where it seems like the world is ending. All we can do is control our reactions to these situations, dust ourselves off and get back in the game.
Hardship shouldn’t be endured for the sake of it. You see examples of many people constantly complaining about their place in life but just can’t seem to change or see that there’s a solution somewhere. Even if we’re dealt a bad hand, there’s always a next move to make. Start trying things and analyze where your efforts are best placed. Tweak your systems and come back stronger, faster and smarter next time around.
Do what it takes.
We’ll never have all the answers. The path forward is filled with twists and turns. Things might get complicated along the way. Going that extra mile to finish what you started is what will get the job done when the going gets tough. Take action and keep showing up. New knowledge and strength will be given along the way. The problems start to answer themselves with the right discipline and motion.
Always move forward no matter what life may throw your way.
Finish today’s race as best as you can. Look forward to the next one and prepare yourself. The grand race of life never ends. In a sense we’re always on the track competing, whether we know it or not. There’s always time to gain ground if you’re focused on the mile in front of you. Never let yourself get carried away by distractions.
Keep your foot on the pedal, even on the days that seem like the sky is falling.
There is always something to be done. More to risk and more rewards to be gained.
Build up your gas tank physically, mentally and spiritually. Learn to endure whatever life throws at you. Go above and beyond what’s required.
Reach your ultimate destination.
Finish your mission.
Become great.
