Living in a realm of infinite possibility.
There are a variety of choices presented to us on a daily basis. It’s possible to use our imaginations to envision ideal scenarios and to formulate new ideas but without action these thoughts just fester in the back of our minds. The world is moving at an extremely rapid pace and this should serve as a reminder to focus on what truly matters instead of getting lost in the noise.
Decades of innovation and technological advancement have gotten us to a point where it’s possible to learn almost any skill from any location in the world. For better or worse, we are more plugged in than ever before. Although still in it’s relative infancy, the internet and the gadgets that connect to it have provided us with many wonders and horrors throughout recent years.
With each passing moment, we can choose to get lost in the sea of endless information or enter the arena and play the game ourselves. Decisions that alter the course of reality can be made in the blink of an eye if we decide to start walking along the path. It may seem slow at first but directed energy compounds over time bringing results and feedback from the world. What we put in is what we tend to get out in some way, shape or form.
Focusing on the right areas.
An important factor to grasp is that becoming sharp and refined in a specific area takes time, volume and the ability to adapt when things are going south. A negative aspect of this hyper tech focused age is that our attention spans have significantly diminished. Getting lost in the time warp that is chronic scrolling and consuming is a great way to remain scattered and stagnant. Ideas need action to solidify and take shape. Go through any growing pains and get in the reps that will make the process flow better. It’s become extremely common to daydream and fantasize about the final destination while remaining in the same place. There are so many outlets these days that neuter our sense of adventure and curiosity before we get the chance to go out and see things through. Don’t let the constant bombardment of cheap gratification disable you from doing the groundwork needed to build the runway.
It’s becoming more and more prevalent for people to see their waking hours as different times to be “on” and times to be “off”. Many are consistently turned off at almost all times. Doing the bare minimum at work to come back and drown out feelings of wasted potential with cheap vices that never truly satisfy. Flip the switch and be engaged and present in everything you do. Whether it’s working, training, building, studying, adventuring, relaxing, celebrating or anything in between, be involved and make it count. It’s easier to be grateful for the good and the bad when we take a look at the bigger picture. It’s possible to get much more out of each hour by understanding where to put our energy. This will be different for everybody. People have different talents, aspirations, characteristics and personalities. Learn to start taking action and refine your systems along the way.
There’s a chain reaction that occurs when we go the extra mile and work on the needle movers. Take a look at where you’re currently at compared to where you want to be. If you don’t like your job or if you feel like you can do more, stay on the lookout for opportunity while using your time to build the right skills that will make you a better person overall. Starting to work out consistently will increase energy and make us sharper. Working on a business or creating a project makes us more driven and competent overall. Finding the right people, taking care of our loved ones and trusting in God gives us purpose to complete the mission even when it seems like all is lost. Avoid getting bogged down by the noise. Trust your instincts and do what’s required to reach the next level. Start looking for solutions when confronted with problems. Obstacles are there to go around or push through. Each situation calling for the right combination of knowledge and action. Each moment presenting us with new choices to make.
Adapting to the seasons.
Life flows continuously. No two days are identical even if sometimes they might feel that way. Many factors consciously or subconsciously affect decisions and plans. Outside forces beyond our control might play a significant role as well. Pair this with chance and risk and life becomes much more malleable than previously imagined. Things can change for better or worse at the drop of a hat but we have significant control over how we live on a daily basis and how we react to any unforeseen challenges along the way.
Understand how your own personality and characteristics mesh with your environment and aspirations. What does a day in your ideal life look like? What combination of skills are needed to perform at a high level? What immediate steps can be taken to move up the ladder in the right areas? Complicating matters in the beginning by thinking about how far off the final destination is will prohibit those initial foundations from being built which eventually lead to much better opportunities and connections down the line. Really dig in and plant those roots into whatever subjects you choose to pursue. The more feedback we start getting from the world, the better we can adjust and become stronger and smarter overall. We can accomplish a lot more with the right vision. Figure out what you’re talented at, what you’re passionate about, what options you have available and what tools are at your disposal. Use time and energy wisely to get the most out of your schedule and refine the systems as you gain more wisdom and experience.
Wake up every single day with a hunger to explore and mold the world. Instead of getting bogged down by the weight of things beyond our control, we have the opportunity to make another move and get where we need to go. Any negative energy or intense emotion can be used to propel us to new heights. Get creative and stay driven. The limits are only what we perceive them to be. Reality can be transformed by thoughts, beliefs and actions.
