“Why?” is a question that can be asked an infinite amount of times. We start becoming extremely curious as children, wondering why things are the way they are. When we get older and develop our own sense of the world, we try to dig deeper and get to the core… or we suppress everything entirely at the expense of the knowledge that could’ve been learned.
It can be extremely overwhelming for some when things stray away from the norm. Routine is needed to keep many sane. The problem is most would rather a schedule that robs them of their time, energy and freedom instead of diving into the unknown. It’s too overwhelming for the majority. Not sure where to start. Not sure how to create opportunity for themselves. The vastness of the universe, like being stranded in an infinite ocean, becomes crippling for most to even fathom.
Why make our own conscious decisions when we can just fall in line and be told what to do at every turn? It’s much easier to just be lead and take everything at face value. Much simpler to just follow the herd. The problem is that you know deep down in your spirit that this is not the way. It will erode your being more and more as time passes.
That feeling of safety and comfort will later be replaced with dread at the realization that you can no longer go after your dreams even if you now wanted to. Instead of just starting and finding your way, you kept between the lines wondering what could have been. Making excuses when in reality what held you back was the fear of that unknown. The fear of judgement, failure, criticism, confrontation. All these are predisposed conditions programmed into people by a controlling society. The unknown shouldn’t instill fear. It should encourage possibility and imagination.
Why fear? You should have faith that at the end of this life, if you lived true to yourself, it will all work out in the end anyway. Change your mindset. Instead of fearing death, look at it as a reminder to pursue your mission while you still can. Use it to become more grateful for this life you were given. Believe in a higher power. A purpose that is greater than yourself. This will be what gets you through the harder challenges life throws your way. It’s not just about you. What you are doing will also affect your loved ones and their position. Work to build something that will benefit them as well.
Don’t use the unknown as an excuse to stay in the gutter. The “why me? The world is unfair” attitude is great if you want pity. If you want results you have to push through the pains of life and continue giving it your all every day. The world is very complex and tragedy will get thrown your way. You might have been dealt a bad hand. All you can do is analyze where you are and push forward towards where you want to go. Action is needed to conquer the unknown. When you start pairing action with critical thinking, skills sharpen and you will achieve a greater level of success as time goes on.
The unknown should never be feared. Embrace the opportunity you are given and figure out what you want out of this life. Freedom is on the other side of action and purpose.
Be grateful for where you stand and always have faith that it works out in the end.
Fight through the pain.
Embrace the Unknown.
