Two sides of the same coin.
Every spectrum has two sides. Hot and cold. Light and dark. Good and evil. We come to know each by comparing and contrasting with their opposites. When it’s freezing cold we wish it was warmer. When it’s scorching hot we wish it was cooler. Understanding each side helps us to get a clear view of the whole picture.
Balance is achieved through finding the midpoint of these two extremes. There will be times where you have to destroy one thing to create another. Just like people live and die, some periods are for building things up and other periods are for tearing things down. This all depends on which stage and cycle of life you are currently in as well as the world’s overall life cycle as a whole.
There will be times when you’re growing at an unprecedented rate and the outside world seems like it’s falling apart and vice versa. These momentary feelings are also contrasted with the thought that most people were born into dire situations off the bat while others were much luckier with their environments and upbringings during their formative years. We’re all participating in the grand scheme of things on many different levels whether we like it or not. The key is understanding our individual purposes in this world and finding balance through the extremes. Always another move to make when we are focused and dedicated to the mission at hand.
“Good” and “Evil” are perceptions.
Someone’s hero is someone else’s villain. Every war ever waged comprised of two sides with differing views who fought over what they thought was right. Whether it’s an argument that leads to heated words or a global scale war of different ideals, the premise remains the same: Escalating conflict and disagreement over what is right and wrong. Nothing is ever objective in this sense even if we deeply believe something to be. Someone out there somewhere will think otherwise even if we think ourselves to be the most moral, righteous and fair person out there. Wars have been, and will continue to be, waged for all sorts of different reasons. Survival, territory, religion, innovations, rights, food, water, shelter, way of life and almost any other idea you can fathom. This constant fighting is weaved into human nature. Each side believes they’re in the right while carrying out atrocities against the other. The cycle continues on into infinity.
With this understanding in mind, develop your own code based on what you believe to be just and moral. Strive to live your life in accordance with this code and stop being a hypocrite. Lead by example and understand your views might get you into conflicts but so will having no views at all.
Life will hit you whether you like it or not. Have things you stand by while also weaving through the general barrage of noise when you aren’t being attacked directly. It serves no purpose to fight battles against forces whose main goal is to suck your time and attention so that you have no energy left to better your own life. Don’t play into their trap. Develop your own sense of good and evil. Understand what parts of your own life have to be created and destroyed in order to move forward and become successful. Refine your systems along the way.
Use the tools at your disposal.
Everyone at this current moment has certain strengths, resources and willpower they can tap into to get things moving no matter how small. Even with very little to start with, if people think outside the box and work at things diligently, they’ll develop a base level competence that can get them to the next level. Most times addition isn’t even the answer at the beginning. We are better off destroying all the chains that bind us physically, mentally and spiritually before starting to develop new habits. Less is more. Clarify the vision by eliminating the bad things tying us down to mediocrity. Start fresh with a blank canvas and the right energy to focus.
Once we start becoming aware of the right path and have destroyed some of the things holding us back, it’s time to add the right habits that will give us momentum to spring forward. Steer the ship in the right direction and improve yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. There are many avenues you can go down to start seeing results. Find the one’s that resonate with you and double down to get better overall. Don’t allow the tools to sit there unused. Do what it takes to get where you want to go.
Stop looking at “destruction” in an emotionally negative light. You have the power to destroy the things that are bad for you just as you have the power to create things that are good for you. Use it to mold your environment and build a reality that you enjoy living in. Become aware of the tools in your arsenal and use them accordingly. No better time than now to take advantage of all the opportunities this world has to offer.
