Figure out what’s important.
Each person will have a different set of things that they value. We all have different strengths, weaknesses and characteristics. Different overall life experiences and environments that we were molded in. As reality sets in over the years, it’s important to understand how perceptions play a role in our everyday lives. Things that seemed like they were set in stone can change on a whim with different thoughts, beliefs and actions. Directing energy into the right areas is a good way to start shifting the trajectory of the path in front of us.
Be conscious of the information that’s presented to you on a daily basis. Many things aren’t what they appear to be at face value. It’s up to us to pick and choose what we believe through a combination of our knowledge, perceptions and awareness. We know certain things. We think about certain things we know a certain way and these thoughts can change with the progression of time and experience. Some things will never even cross our senses in a lifetime but are going on simultaneously somewhere else in the world. All of these areas play a role, consciously or unconsciously, in what we choose to give importance and attention.
Having faith and purpose will help us get through even the darkest of times. With a mission at hand and the right focus, it’s possible to turn the tables on any situation. The overall vision might be far off and blurry at the moment but it helps to start improving in broader areas and narrowing focus over time. Most people in general want to get in better shape, make more money and have great relationships. Starting with the basics in each of these categories can snowball into new ideas and opportunities. Going to the gym, exercising more and cleaning up your diet. Learning new skills you’re interested in and how to make money implementing them. Taking care of loved ones, making time for the right people and finding new connections by putting yourself out there. Get the ball rolling and turn these new interests into habits. Once momentum builds up, more opportunities become available. It’s much easier to refine systems and see the bigger picture when results are rolling in.
The impact of choice.
There’s always another choice to make, for better or for worse. Every passing moment breeds a host of possibilities. One single decision can alter the course of our realities. Even though chance will always play a significant role in the grand scheme of things, it serves to put ourselves in a position to improve our odds. Focusing in on a mission while tuning out the noise, meeting the right people and being in the right places will accelerate progression in the right direction.
Distraction is abundant these days. Everywhere we look someone or something is vying for our energy and attention. It’s easy to give in and be constantly scattered, wondering where the time went when another day comes to a close. Without a reason or vision of what could be, the will to carve our own path dies out pretty quickly. A great way to flip this perception is to enjoy the process and look at it as an investment. You’re doing what has to be done and getting through obstacles to reach the next level. Battling through those unknowns and coming out victorious on the other side gives the wisdom and experience needed to take on even greater challenges. We truly never know what we’re capable of without taking those risks and seeing them through.
By a certain point, it becomes pretty clear which patterns and habits are serving us and which are leading us astray. This can be applied to relationships as well. We can try to deny or twist stories around but when things are negatively affecting someone, the signs will materialize eventually. Mistakes are meant to become lessons. Lessons are meant to make us smarter and stronger. Take losses in stride and make a conscious effort to be better next time.
Adapt to the circumstances.
It’s impossible to account for every outside force. Life would be pretty dull if we could. A lot of excitement and enjoyment comes from not knowing exactly what might happen next. We’ve become pretty good at making sure that things stay ordered and tidy but the reality is that at the drop of a hat, things can change drastically in many directions. From the dawn of time, things have moved forward. We calculate and create inventions to measure and quantify most of the things we observe in reality. We plan and make predictions based off of knowledge and feeling. Triumphs and tragedies litter the history books. Energy keeps flowing and the pendulum keeps swinging. Understanding that it’s never really over until it’s over is a crucial part of moving past obstacles and making the next move.
Use the tools at your disposal to make something happen, no matter how dire the situation may seem. Get the volume in, especially at the beginning, and learn more as you go. Every experience that we go through gives us a clearer picture of the things we do and don’t want in our lives. Choosing to actively pursue things that are not aligned with our spirit will end up working against us. When outside forces try to throw us off course, we have the power to act and react to what has happened. No matter how devastating a loss or how incredible a win, there’s always a next step to take until the end.
Read the signs. See the vision. Get clear on the next few steps. Trust your instincts. Do what needs to be done. Get to the next level.
