Many lock themselves into mental prisons. Others smile when they’re thrown into the lion’s den.
What some see as problems, others view as opportunities. What some see as mistakes, others view as lessons.
The way we frame things mentally has a massive influence on the energy we give off in certain situations. The right energy can get us to the proper destination even if there’s a roadblock up ahead. The wrong energy can have us squandering a golden ticket opportunity because of mental hurdles that are self created.
It’s important to remember that there’s always a way forward no matter what situation we may find ourselves in. There’s always another move to make until our time is up. Never underestimate the power of looking at what’s in front of you through the right lens. It never hurts to look at the upside of things. No matter how dark it may seem, there’s something that can be done to change life for the better. Our attitude reinforces what comes our way along the journey.
The game never ends.
Staying in motion is half the battle. In a day and age where we seem more comfortable than ever, many seem unfulfilled and lacking purpose in their lives. Getting stuck happens in every realm. Physically, mentally and spiritually there will always be times throughout life where we feel like we’re stuck in one or multiple of these areas, unable to make any progress.
In these moments it helps to start moving around and shaking things up. Finding things to work on like hobbies, getting out in nature and letting our brains rest, doing some exercise, socializing and resetting our focus. This helps to calm down and find solutions by giving our minds time to work out the proper way forward. One loss or regret isn’t the end of things. There are countless avenues to go down and subjects to explore.
Figure out what areas are important to you personally and create a blueprint that will help you make the most of your time and energy. Look for solutions in everything you come across. Where there’s a will there’s a way. Effort will be rewarded in some shape or form. Don’t underestimate the power of getting the work done.
Construct positive outcomes ahead of time with imagination.
Humans were gifted with one of the greatest tools ever created: our imaginations. Every invention and innovation you see today started off as an idea in someone’s brain. Visions were transformed into reality to mold the world from what it was centuries past to what we see today.
Many of the greatest thinkers and doers throughout history were told by those close to them that what they were trying to achieve was impossible or insane. Had they let all these words and warnings extinguish their passion and purpose, many of the greatest accomplishments in history might’ve never happened.
Things will never be perfect and nobody will ever obtain full control over their own lives and situation but this should never put us in a negative mindset about the future. There’s always a way to build a version of reality we love living.
Why not give ourselves the benefit of the doubt? Why not try to will ourselves forward against all odds? What other option is there at the end of the day?
The next time you are dreading an obligation, flip it to where you start seeing the positive sides and possibilities with a great attitude. Understand how doing things that may be perceived as “difficult” is actually helping you to gain more skills and experience. Start looking for the good in things and you’ll find more than you could’ve ever expected. Same goes for the reverse. Look for trouble and you’ll find it.
Every moment we have a choice to make about how we view things. We may not be living our dream lives just yet but by continuously putting the right work in every single day, we get closer and closer as time goes on.
Be willing to do what it takes to get where you want to go.
Our thoughts determine our trajectory.
Use the power of the mind to your advantage.
