Sometimes we just need to turn it up a notch.
Going over or around an obstacle is not always possible. Going through might be the only way forward. Attacking with more strength, power and courage. Taking on extra risk to make the rewards possible. Battling through more adversity than you thought was possible to overcome.
By giving it all that we’ve got at the right times, we’re able to finally cross the finish line. We leave it all out there to complete the mission, reap the benefits of winning and are able to rest and plan for the next challenge up ahead with new wisdom, resources and experience.
We generally have more in the tank than we like to think. Physically, mentally and spiritually we can go much further and unlock these bursts of energy that can propel us over the highest hurdles that we come across.
This can often be seen with apex predators in the wild. They are explosive when it’s time to hunt and protect their tribes. Then they rest and enjoy the fruits of their labor until its time to hunt or attack once again. The cycle continues over their lifespans.
It helps to emulate this type of natural instinct in our daily lives. Instead of coasting and stagnating it’s important to go from periods of rest and planning to periods of unrelenting attack where our foot is constantly on the pedal getting things done.
Taking advantage of the countless opportunities present in the world has never been easier. The problem is that we have to get out there and take them ourselves. We need to learn skills and be prepared to attack when the right moment presents itself. Spend time practicing the right skills and then go out and apply them.
Don’t just sit on the sidelines. Step into the arena.
If you want to get in better shape, gather some information on exercise and nutrition then start applying the basics more and more everyday. Cut out the bad diet habits. Add more movement and harder workouts as time progresses. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel until you get the basics down and gain some initial results. There will always be time to innovate but start with becoming competent and practicing what you preach.
This formula can be translated to any area of your life. To get in better shape, make more money, learn more skills, have better relationships. It all starts from the frame of mind that is understanding the mission and attacking with full force until it’s complete.
Focus your time and energy on the areas that matter. Don’t go fighting the wrong battles. Start by understanding your nature and environment. Determine your next few steps. Do what has to be done regardless of the outcome. Get the reps in. Aim for your targets. See what hits. Analyze your results, rest and come back even stronger next time with the new knowledge and experience you’ve gained from stepping into the arena.
There will always be another shot to fire. There will always be some way you can direct your time and energy right up until the day you die. Understand your purpose and use this life you’ve been given to achieve it.
Challenges will arise to test your will.
Life isn’t always smooth sailing. Even if we build a lot of momentum and get great at battling through adversity, there will always be another enemy waiting for us at the next level. These obstacles can get in our way physically, mentally and spiritually. They are tests to determine if we truly want what we are asking for. Suffering is inevitable but we can definitely choose which way to suffer and how to handle it.
If something feels slightly over your head but your gut instinct is telling you it’s the right path to take, turn on the jets and dive in head first. Attack that opportunity like your survival depends on it and give it your all. I guarantee the results will surprise you.
We seem to be able to turn it up an extra gear when the moment calls for it. What we thought was a limit is actually just a stepping stone to the next league we’re able to operate in effectively.
Nothing is ever really stagnant. Everything in our reality is in motion. Taking the right shot at the right time can propel us 10 steps ahead even if we weren’t “ready” for it on paper. Sometimes all it takes is tremendous will and the ability to adapt with the times.
Set your sights on what you want out of this life.
Make the vision clear and have daily targets.
Attack with full force when it’s time to work.
Flow with the moment and adapt to any changes.
Analyze your results. Enjoy the fruits of your labor. Rest and plan.
Complete a mission then get ready to start up the next one.
Enjoy the ride and give it your all while you still can.
