Flow with the current moment.
The past can’t be changed and the future is shaped by our current actions. A lesson we can learn from animals is how to tune into each situation we may find ourselves in. Being able to trust our instincts in the heat of the moment can help us find opportunity and avoid disaster. Whether we’re working or resting, it’s beneficial to be fully present and actively participate in the task at hand. If you find yourself zoned out when it’s time to work and stressed out when it’s time to relax, your mind is probably elsewhere. In the fast paced world we live in, it’s very easy to go through the motions and let time waste away. Learn lessons from the past and have hope for the future but avoid shutting out the present possibilities by harping on either.
In the grand scheme of things, there’s always another move to make even when it seems like all is lost. The will to survive can take us from rock bottom to unfathomable heights. One lucky break can make up for years of loss and tragedy. The signs are always there if we choose to listen. Show up to the right place at the right time, meet the right person, put the reps in and allow chance to work it’s magic. There are unlimited shots to fire until our time is up. Start by figuring out what’s important and how your vision can be accomplished over time.
There are many different avenues we can go down and everyone will have their own experiences over a lifetime. Different situations call for different solutions. Maybe you want more money or a different job. Maybe you want to be in better shape and live a healthier life. Maybe you want better relationships and more exciting experiences. Maybe you want a combination of all three and more. Understanding where to improve is a great start. Narrow down ideas for how time and energy can be carved out to improve each of these different areas. Once you have some, immediately put them into practice. Analyze the results as time goes on and continuously refine your systems. Think outside the box and never underestimate the power of being in tune with the moment at hand.
Trust in nature.
Many aspects of modern life can be extremely overcomplicated. We’ve reached a point where there’s a quick fix and easy solution to almost anything. The problem is most of these new innovations are synthetic versions of simple solutions already offered in nature. It helps to tune out the noise at times and realize that most of the answers are already provided to us if we can focus on what really matters.
Chances are you don’t really need more gadgets or technology to get things going in the right direction. Focus on the next step. Go out in nature, find the right ideas, connect to the source. Implement the strategies you come up with and avoid getting sucked into the vortex of useless information that is available to waste your time and energy. Turn every aspect of your life into something meaningful instead of living to escape from reality with cheap alternatives to purpose and faith. Embrace every aspect of the journey instead. Don’t run away from what has to be done. Soak in the highs and the lows. We wouldn’t enjoy one without the other.
Animals know when to hunt, protect and rest. Their instincts guide them forward on a very primal level that humans have severely lost touch with over the years. Getting back to these core concepts can help us reach new heights when paired with free will. Spending more time outdoors and getting in better shape. Becoming more resourceful and adaptable. Leading and taking care of our loved ones. Working on things that drive us. Recharging the batteries and preparing for the next battle. Combining these different areas makes life better overall.
Bring energy to your environment.
Every environment we find ourselves in requires energy to navigate. Different situations and problems will call for different approaches and solutions. Some things won’t be cut and dry. We can feel extremely prepared and still come up short. We can wing something entirely and pull off a miracle. Chance will always play a role but we can help it work in our favor with the right thoughts and actions. A grim situation can become a great one through a change in perception and a solid purpose. We have the power to mold what’s in front of us. The key is taking an active approach with regards to making the vision a reality. If an opportunity is lacking it has to be stirred up and created. Sitting back and waiting for things to happen is a good way to stay in the same spot. Patience is often needed but it’s better to stay in motion while we wait for something to take shape.
Being able to learn from and work with other people can propel us to new heights much quicker. Chances are we won’t be masters in an area we just started working on. Isolation will also make it much harder, if not impossible, to get where we want to go. Putting ourselves out there and forging the right connections will pay off exponentially in the long run. Building a reputation as someone that can be counted on to get the job done will open many doors.
Right now, in this moment, there is someone out there living their dream life and someone else who feels stuck in a nightmare. No matter where we might find ourselves along that spectrum it’s important to understand that things can change at any time. There’s always something that can be done to alter the course. More often than not, it requires us to listen to that gut feeling and steer the ship in the right direction. It’ll take energy and some effort but almost anything is possible when we live with a purpose. Every action, thought and hope has an impact on the world around us.
We have the option at every turn to focus on the moment and build a life that inspires us.
No better time than now.
Turn on the switch.
