Attack the moment with vigor.
Preparation is great. We need to hone our skills and be competent at the right things. The problem comes from thinking that conditions will always be ideal. Time and time again, plans get derailed, emergencies arise, the world seems like it’s ending. Every day something else pops up that tries to steal time and energy away from us. Deals might go sour. Relationships might end. Results may be much lower than anticipated. All of these factors will play a role in the game of life.
Learn how to combine being ready with performing ideally. When challenges arise, you don’t shy away and fall back because they weren’t part of the original plan. Assess what needs to be done and act accordingly. Systems should always be tweaked and refined to get better results and to become more effective and efficient on a daily basis. Understand what drives you. Create a blueprint that will guide you forward. Go all in on the things that will make you greater overall. Recalibrate as you begin to reach higher levels and gain more wisdom and experience.
If you combine passion with volume and talent, things will start to fall into place sooner than later. It’s difficult to have all three right away but very possible to work your way up over time. Some things have to be done to survive at a primal level if we’re in dire circumstances. Others can only be built when we’ve sacrificed to be able to give more time and energy towards them. Some people are talented at things they enjoy and it makes life flow much smoother. Some people are talented at things they hate or have never tried before. Some people dedicate hours to things they struggle with and become good at but due to lack of talent and passion will never become great at. There are many viewpoints and variables that go into the decision making process of where time and energy should be placed for maximum benefit. Start by looking at your life physically, mentally and spiritually. Figure out what areas are lacking and search for ways to improve until you stumble upon things that resonate. Double down on what works and cut out what doesn’t. Be proactive by creating and taking opportunities as they appear. There is a window for everything. Go out and make the most of the time you have while you still have it.
Defend your position against all odds.
Everybody wants things. Some want more than others and for different reasons across the board but how many people actually get what they want entirely? Very few people can say that they live 100% according to their ideal vision. Even at that point, perfection is never attainable. It becomes about maintenance and contentment. Some require less than others to feel complete. They key to getting close to your ideal and living a life that excites you is setting the right boundaries. Being able to avoid traps and having a code to live by makes life much easier. Avoiding the things that bring you down will save a lot of time and energy that can instead be dedicated to making your dreams a reality.
Understand that there are various tradeoffs and sacrifices necessary to live on your own terms as much as possible. We get tested in every realm to determine if our thoughts and actions match our spirit. To really feel that sense of contentment, it’s important to live out your purpose regardless of outside forces. Be strong in your positions and faithful to your cause. Don’t back down and always hold your ground with regards to the values you truly believe in. What you hold sacred must be defended.
Never fall prey to the herd mentality. Develop your own way to judge and discern the information that’s being presented. There doesn’t have to be a reaction to every story and bit of news you come across but by the same token, don’t get played by being too passive and agreeable. Certain things will not sit well with you and it’s important to put out the embers before a fire starts. Holding onto grudges and heavy emotions to placate scenarios where you’re being taken advantage of is a sign of cowardice. Deal with your problems accordingly and always have your own back, especially in the darkest of times. Build your code and become wiser as you gain more experience. Be bold and strategize to improve your position by standing firm in your beliefs.
Leave the rest up to God.
One of the greatest points of understanding for me was when I realized that there are genuinely certain things in this life we’ll never understand or have control over. At first this thought might make you scared or worried for the future but the reality is that this just becomes another test in our faith over time. Instead of being angry or fearful of the world, death and outside forces, use this energy to understand that everyone is a sinner just like you and each moment we have choices to make.
Everything has a consequence. Instead of always trying to figure out “why?”, start having some faith in God and leading a life that inspires and helps others around you.
Think that everything is working out in your favor and treat everyday as a gift. Understand that material gains are fleeting and should never be idolized. This doesn’t mean to shun success, quite the opposite actually. It means to work for something beyond yourself and what you deserve will be given along the way in the proper moments. Avoid thinking you are ever better than your creator. You can’t pull a fast one on someone who is always watching not only your thoughts and movements, but your spirit as well.
Understand how to be a solid person. Someone who sticks to their word. Someone who is reliable and trustworthy. Someone who lives by a code and has unwavering faith.
Read the signs and understand that evil never prevails in the end. Ill gotten gains will erode your spirit over time and no matter how much you think you got away with, everything will be revealed in the end.
Be grateful for everything you’ve experienced.
Learn lessons from your mistakes.
Make choices in each moment.
Focus on what matters.
Do the right things.
Enjoy life.
