As we go about our lives, many things are constantly being advertised to us. Some can actually help our situation and get us to new levels, others are just there to try to steal our time and energy.
The key is finding the right tools for your specific situation.
When we start to get a clearer vision of the life we want to live, it becomes easier to discern the gems from the garbage being thrown at us. We get a better grasp of what can guide us forward and what will just get in the way.
Clarity of intention helps to move the needle and take on the right endeavours. It’s good to try new things but beware of spreading too thin. Explore and figure out what the winning formula is for yourself. Double down on what works and cut back on what doesn’t.
You don’t have to love every single second of the journey but lean towards adding things to your life that compliment your strengths or peak your interests.
Learn the basics and build on these foundations to push forward. Many things will be marketed to you along the way. It’s your job to figure out what can actually help you complete your mission versus what is just there to distract and lead you astray.
It’s impossible to avoid every trap or shiny object. Some things that catch and hold your attention might actually turn sour in the end. What seemed like the answer to your problems was just another batch of snake oil.
The benefit of going through these experiences is that they begin to clear our judgement and solidify our focus. It becomes easier to identify which tools are helping us move forward and which are serving as a distraction.
It’s important to analyze this in tune with your own nature and skillset. Going down a path that doesn’t align with your spirit will reveal itself in different ways. It’s important to listen closely and make the proper decisions for your situation. Learn to sharpen and trust your instincts.
Assess what steps have to be taken sooner than later. Trying to hoard knowledge won’t get you far if the results and actions behind it don’t add up.
You can’t beat the game before starting to play it.
Certain tools will only be accessible at certain levels. Knowledge will be given as you apply the basics through action.
What you thought was missing will reveal itself when it seems like you’re unable to break through the next barrier.
From my own experience, even from a position of relative comfort, adding the right tools to the mix has greatly increased the quality of my life.
Always had an interest in reading and writing so started a site and newsletter and began to post on social media. Wanted to learn more about sales so went and got an appointment setting job doing cold calls after work. Decided it was time to get into better shape so joined a muay thai gym and started taking my training more seriously.
Over the last few months, I’ve gone through the basics of these skills and learned a lot so far because I have an actual interest in all of them. This helped me push through initial hurdles when I had no idea what I was doing.
Continued to get more reps in and got great advice from people in networks I had joined that started to connect the dots.
Through trial and error paired with this guidance, more things started to flow.
Joined great groups of likeminded people. Wrote and posted more frequently. Booked more calls and conversations went much smoother. Training more often and being in much better shape.
Best part is there is still ways to go on this journey.
Just getting started.
None of these things would have been possible without the previous lessons I learned over the years.
Taking full account for where I was at and what needed to be done moving forward.
Nothing is set in stone or linear. That would make life boring and robotic.
With whatever time we’re given it’s important to live aligned with our spirit.
As this purpose becomes clearer to you, go out and make it a reality.
Figure out the blueprint. Acquire the tools. Start hammering away.
Before you know it, the house is built.
After awhile, we understand what is helping us and what is hindering us.
You can only repeat the same mistake so many times without it finally becoming a conscious choice.
Read the signs and act accordingly.
We become wiser through taking the right action.
Life is better when you’re walking the path.
